Now famous Nicaraguan salsa singer and percussionist Luis Enrique arrived in the United States alone, facing a different culture, an unknown language, and other obstacles common to newcomers. Undocumented for years, he attended La Serna High School in Whittier, California and worked wherever he could, considering his dream to become a singer almost impossible. Now, in this memoir, he weaves together the moments of suffering, love, fear, laughter, shock, and pain that led to his success. His angels and demons are exposed as he shares those experiences.
