Annie Barrows

Annie grew up in Northern California, and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, with a degree in Medieval History. After earning an M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Mills College, Annie wrote a number of books for grown-ups. In 2003, Annie grew weary of grown-ups, and began to write for kids, which she found to be way more fun. Her first children's book, Ivy and Bean, was an ALA Notable Book for 2007.

  • Magic in the Mix

    By Annie Barrows

    Read by Cris Dukehart

Brimming with lovable characters and spine-tingling magic!

"The fast-paced plot is dramatically narrated by Cris Dukehart, with Southern accents, deep voices, or a snarky tone for villains and much lighter voices for the children. The narration accentuates the drama of the action and the children’s contemporary language." - School Library Journal (audio review)
