    Fairy Tale Reform School

Gilly must face the most evil villain in the second installment of this twisted fairy tale series

"Fans of Calonita's previous book in the series (Flunked, 2015) will enjoy this continuation of the story. New readers will be caught up within the first few pages thanks to a blog scroll ("Happily Ever After Scrolls") that recurs throughout the book. Tweens who are fans of fractured fairy tales like the "Whatever After" series by Sarah Mlynowski (Scholastic) will have no problem getting into this read." - School Library Journal

Kate begins to learn dark secrets about computer hacker Ian, who she is falling in love with.

It was so refreshing to see strong, likable characters, who were in a believable adult relationship. I enjoyed seeing the couple's journey. So many romances are missing the love story. This wasn't. It was all here, and it was completely charming. - The Book Bosses

In the third book of the series, Gilly’s little sister lands in reform school.

"Mermaids, fairies, trolls, and princesses abound in this creative mashup of the Grimms' most famous characters. This whimsical tale is a surprising mixture of fable, fantasy, and true coming-of-age novel. Magical problems are enhanced by real-world lessons on prejudice, bullying, and self-image." - Kirkus Reviews

  • Speed of Life

    By Carol Weston

    Read by Kristin Condon

With the keeper of her secrets dating her dad, how on earth will Sofia make it through the year?

"The multicultural cast is led by the completely likable Sofia, whose mother was Spanish and whose abuelo's comforting presence remains across the ocean. Her story has no fast, easy answers, but there is a clear message that while time does not necessarily heal, it helps. The advice of not to fall too hard, too fast, or too far is real, not preachy. Complex characters and a strong voice make this one stand out." - Kirkus, Starred Review

    Released Tue Sep 12 00:00:00 UTC 2017
