Meagan McKinney went to school to become a veterinarian but the writing bug took hold before she graduated from Columbia University with a premed degree. She now lives in an 1870s Garden District home with her husband and two sons. Her hobbies are painting and traveling to unusual locales such as the Amazon, the Arctic, and all points in between.
