Colin Curwen

A life-long fan of classical and CG animation, Colin completed his classical animation training at Applied Multimedia in Calgary, Alberta and CGI character animation certificate in Maya at Mesmer in Seattle, WA. Colin has been producing commercial animation and independent productions at New Machine Studios for the past 3 1/2 years, serving clients such as WestJet Airlines, A-Channel, CBC Calgary, Science Alberta, Alberta Learning, and Blender Films. Colin was a Co-producer on the award-winning Animated Christmas Special The Elfkins’ First Christmas, and was a Line Producer for numerous television and new media projects including the CGI segments of Stories of the Seventh Fire, Wonderville, The Adventures of Bert & Clare, Commercial spots for the Calgary International film festival and original animation for Bruce Willis’ production company, Cheyenne Enterprises LLC. In 2004, Colin was the Executive Producer and co-producer of the award winning half-hour CGI animated television show Raven Tales: How Raven Stole the Sun, the pilot for the award-winning 13-episode series which features traditional Haida folktales told using state-of-the-art computer graphics. Currently, Colin is producing season two of Raven Tales and is leading the development of several new projects for Television and Direct-to-Video at New Machine Studios.
